Android Cupcake
Note: This build is extremely out of date!
I have compiled the Android Cupcake update into a system image that can be used with the SDK Emulator. Follow the instructions below to install it on the emulator and check out what update are to come.
NOTE: You must have the Android SDK already installed to use these images. You can find the SDK here: Android SDK
- Download the following files:
- Move the files to where you have the SDK installed under "[sdk install path]/tools/lib/images". Overwrite the files that are currently there unless you still want to use the old software for emulation.
- Run the emulator.exe program and you should be running the new Android OS with Cupcake.
That is all there is to it. Just download and move the files and your done. If you really want to you should be able to repackage these files in a way that you can flash a real Android device with the new code. Although, I have not figured out the best way to do this as of yet, and don't really want to screw up my own device trying. If anyone figures it out please email me at kingrst@gmail.com.
